Removing Odor:
Memory foam pad, in generally, are made of polyurethane chemical. It is a matter of how much it is used plus other substitution to change the viscosity and density of the memory foam. It is normal to all foam product to have a little odor smell.
Any remaining odor or general freshening can be treated successfully. Try one of the solutions below.
Sunlight : If it's warm outside, sunlight and a warm breeze is very effective at removing and neutralizing odor. If you can do without it, take it outside for a day or two and place it indirectly under the sun. It should smell as fresh as new.
Baking Soda : If your memory foam smells funky, sprinkle a little baking soda on it and let it stand for a day or so. Then shake or gently vacuum the memory foam with the brush attachment. Once all of the baking soda has been vacuumed up, you can put the cover back on.
Heavy Duty Odor Removal : Spray the enzymatic cleaner as per the manufacturer's instructions, or use a 50/50 vinegar and water mix. Don't saturate the memory foam, just use enough liquid to effectively clean and deodorize the urine.
Add the enzymatic cleaner or vinegar to a small spray bottle
Spray the memory foam lightly and let the cleaner stand on the area for ten minutes
Blot the area with a clean towel until the surface feels dry
Sprinkle baking soda over the entire area
Vacuum the baking soda up after it has be left on it overnight
If necessary, move the memory foam to a room that has good air circulation or set up a fan near it if the enzymatic cleaner or vinegar hasn't dried yet. If you use a fan, set it on the lowest possible setting to avoid blowing the baking soda around the room. Once the memory foam is dry, vacuum it thoroughly. If you need still need an extra deodorizing boost, the baking soda and sun methods above will work really well at removing urine odors.
Why liquids still able to leak through the waterproof internal cover? Even with full waterproof internal cover, the liquids will still find a way to sip into the memory foam. It is not recommended to make the cover 100 % waterproof because moisture and air tends to trap inside the bed and does encourage mold and mildew growth, beside of trapping odors in the bed like a thick plastic bag. Therefore, even we are using full waterproof liner for our internal cover, the cover still has a little breathable area at the stitching edge and zipper track which may allow the liquid going in overtime. Clean up has to be performed within the first few hours of any spill incident.
After 5 or 6 hours of incident without proper clean up, the liquids (depend on the amount) may still find a way to enter the memory foam from zipper track or at the stitching edge of the breathable area. Under normal circumstances with proper clean up after any incident, single internal cover should be adequate to prevent any liquids from entering into the foam. Additional layer of same internal cover (double protection) may be recommended which are available here in the website if the bladder accident issue occurred too frequently.

To clean the memory foam entirely:
Freshen it up. Lightly sprinkle some borax or baking powder on your memory foam pad. Let it sit for at least 60 minutes. This will give the product a bright and fresh smell.

We do not recommend to soak our memory foam entirely with water. We are using a high density memory foam which not made to get wet and if it does get soaking wet, it doesn't release the moisture easily and it may take week for the foam to completely dry up. Any liquid can create a serious problem rather quickly.
